Introduction to the CAS File Server

Boston University 's College of Arts and Sciences provides a document file server for use by CAS faculty, staff and students.

The purpose of the server is to provide centralized storage that can be accessed from Windows and Macintosh computers located on and off campus as well as provide consistent file level backup and restore functionality.

The file server is to be used for storage of CAS-related work, including academic related files and documents.

It is not to be used to store personal music collections, videos, photos or other files of a recreational nature unrelated to college or class work.

Users looking for space for research needs should contact Computing Services for a consultation, as the file server is not intended for large data file storage.
