CASIMAGE CUMULUS SERVER

General Information

Computing Services maintains a Cumulus image database server for use by members of the Boston University community. Currently we host several departmental catalogs, including databases for Art History, Archaeology and Classical Studies. The system is accessible through a client software package, which is available through our office, and also over the web at http://casimage.bu.edu/cumulus .

Accessing Cumulus

If you require access to Cumulus, please contact Computing Services. In many cases, users will need prior approval from the department's Cumulus database administrator before access is given to that departmental catalog.

The recommended method for connecting to Cumulus is through the web at http://casimage.bu.edu/cumulus . At this time only the following browser versions are supported: Internet Explorer 6, Firefox (all versions) and Netscape 7.x and 8.

Instructions for the use of the Cumulus Web Publisher Pro interface is available for download here:

Client installations are reserved for database cataloging and administration purposes. Contact Computing Services for an installation of the software, provided at no cost to departments.
